The best riding of the year is right around the corner (curve). Cooler temps and beautiful colors make fall riding the best in our opinion. Be ready to enjoy the ride safely by developing and honing your skills at one of our courses.

With the days getting shorter, the weekday evening schedule is finished for the year. There are afew weekday day classes still to come, and our weekend classes will continue through the end of October. Depending on weather we may run courses in Novemeber as well.

We also specialise in custom scheduling for individuals and groups.

Starting July 8, 2008 Utah will be using a tiered licensing system for motorcycle endorsements.

If a rider tests on a 90cc or less motorcycle or scooter they will be restricted to 90cc or less.

If a rider tests on a 249cc or less motorcycle or scooter they will be restricted to 249cc or less.

If a rider tests on a 649cc or less motorcycle or scooter they will be restricted to 649cc or less.

If a rider tests on a motorcycle or scooter larger than 650cc they will be allowed to ride any motorcycle or scooter.

If you take a motorcycle safety class on a 250cc, successful completion will waive the riding part of the license test for an up to 649cc endorsement. To get an endorsement for motorcycles above 649cc you must use your larger motorcycle in our class. To use your bike in our class you must have a permit, registration, and insurance.

If you currently ride a motorcycle over 649cc you may also obtain a skill test waiver by successfully completing our License Waiver Experienced Rider Course (ERC). The cost for this 5 hour course is $85.

Many folks call or email and ask why there are no dates listed on this site. We list the days of the week that courses are scheduled to run. If we listed dates, they would need to be changed a few times a day as classes fill. People often change their reservations creating openings in previously full classes.

The Wed-Sat-Sun runs every week in Ogden and SLC. A new Sat-Sat starts every week in Salt Lake, and every other week in Ogden. Sun-Sun is typically once a month, and weekday evening classes, Mon-Thurs, are every week starting in late April. Every week means just that, typically including hollidays, March - October.

Please take a look at the schedules listed, then check your calendar, and give us a call at 801-394-6564. We will let you know the next available openings. If none of the listed schedules work for you, maybe we can customise one for you.

We also have some special options that are created from time to time, such as Spring Break weekday classes, that are sometimes available.

We have expanded our office hours to 9am - 6pm to better serve you, but with this being the busy season, please leave a message if we are on the phone helping someone else.

Thank you for visiting,
the Utah Rider Ed team.

Reporter Samantha Hayes did a great job explaning the value of motorcycle rider eduction in the television news spot. Hayes inverviewd rider coach extraordinaire, Twila, as well as several of our students. All of them did an outstanding job and gave some fanstastic interviews! The cool thing is that you can see the news story yourself.
