Utah Motorcycle Association
The Experienced Rider Course, starting at $70.00, is designed for the rider who has at least 1,000 street miles or simply wants to improve their riding skill. The Experienced Rider Course is a great way to prepare for a track day or a track school.
In addition to the traditional Experienced Rider Course, we also offer the "License Waiver Experienced Rider Course" option ($85) for riders who've been riding for a while but have never gotten around to getting their motorcycle endorsement. Riders who choose this option must have a valid motorcycle learners permit.
The Experienced Rider Course is one of the best ways for the experienced rider to tune-up their skills or break some bad habits. All of our Experienced Rider Courses are taught by the most skilled instructors in the state. They provide exceptional feedback in addition to the highest quality of instruction.
The Experienced Rider Course is about five hours long and consists of ten students or less. We can also reserve dates for groups to have their own Experienced course. This is a great idea before a group ride. Along with your riding your completion card could have additional benefits, such as a break on your motorcycle insurance.
We've found that we have a lot of repeat customers. Many riders take this course every time they purchase a new motorcycle and every spring. The course is also very popular with students who have already graduated from the Basic Rider Course and want to take their riding to the next level.
Riders who regularly ride two-up can bring their co-rider to the class.(To bring a passenger costs an additional $10). We will coach the rider as well as the co-rider on how to work together as a team and how to handle special situations.
Besides bringing your own motorcycle there are a few other things you will need to bring along.
We provide water, but students will need to bring their own snacks and/or lunches. Most of the breaks we take are only about 10 minutes so that we can get in as much riding as possible.
Student motorcycles will be required to pass a basic safety inspection given the day of the riding class. If our rider coaches do not feel students have the necessary skills to sucessfully complete the Experienced Rider Course, students may be resheduled into a Basic Rider Course.
Class size is limited to 10 students for riding sessions, which allows us to give provide additional personal attention and coaching. Fees, schedules, locations, and courses are subject to change without notice. Classes with an insufficient number of students may be canceled.
